South London and Maudsley NHS is hosting a two-day conference focusing on evidence-based services, with presentations from key researchers and clinicians in the field.
9.30am – 4.30pm, Thursday, 2 December and
9.30am – 3.15pm, Friday, 3 December 2010
The central theme of the conference will be on the development and provision of specialist services for child and adolescent eating disorders with a specific focus on outpatient and day treatment models and the establishment of care pathways that are based on the best current empirical evidence. The conference is aimed particularly at clinicians, service managers and commissioners who wish to develop new services that are both clinically and cost effective.

Everything you've always wanted to know about Eating Disorders and aren't afraid to learn.
On Tuesday 19 October 2010 CREDS is hosting an Education Day in the Learning Center at Hutt Valley Hospital. We can't promise to tell you everything, as we don't profess to know everything, but we will do the best we can.
The education day is open to staff from HVDHB, CCDHB and NMDHB, along with staff in the community (GP's, NGO's etc) who work with people with eating disorders. There is a small charge to cover catering and resources.

National Body Image and Eating Disorders Awareness Week is happening from Sunday 5th – Saturday 11th September. The Week provides a national focus for promoting greater understanding about these important issues and encourages positive activities that empower young people to like and respect themselves for who they are. The 8th Annual Conference of the Australia and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders will be held on the 27th and 28th of August, 2010. The conference will be preceeded by a clinical training day on Thursday 26th August.
